Anticipation Builds for Round 4 of N2/WERA National Endurance Series at PittRace after AO Rollers Win Round 3 at Roebling Road Raceway.

Media, PA (July 2024) – The N2/WERA National Endurance Series heads to Pittsburgh International Race Complex for Round four on August 9 – 10 with Alpha Omega (AO) Rollers clearly in the championship lead. The Alpha Omega Rollers Endurance Team with riders Eziah Davis, Anthony Mazziotto, and Miles Thornton took the overall and Heavyweight class wins at round three of the N2/WERA National Endurance Series at Roebling Road Raceway on July 13th. In all, a total of 41 teams competed at the third round of the 2024 N2/WERA National Endurance Championship with over $100,000 in purse and contingency.

As teams came to the grid for the 4-Hour N2/WERA National Endurance Race at Roebling Road Raceway, the heavens opened up and a warm coastal Georgia rain fell on Roebling Road Raceway causing a red flag to be thrown at the start of the race. Afternoon rain showers are a fact of life in this part of the country at this time of year. They pop up every afternoon and they might last a few minutes, or they might last an hour. WERA decided to delay the start for approximately 15 minutes to let the situation stabilize.

Nature Power Superbike started on pole with Jesse Ruehling on rain tires. AO Rollers and Army of Darkness took a gamble and started the race on slicks with hopes that the track would dry rapidly. Both AOD and AO Rollers lost a lap to Nature Power Superbike early, but gained a lap back in the first pit stop window when everybody switched to slicks despite the fact that the dry line was only about eight inches wide.

AO Rollers and AOD still had a significant amount of work to do to catch up with Nature Power Superbike. As the track dried lap times started to drop dramatically with Nature Power Superbike turning the fastest lap of the race at a 1:11.553 on lap 147. Despite raw speed both AO Rollers and Army of Darkness were able to pass Nature Power Superbike with quick, consistent pit stops. After 152 laps, it was AO Rollers in first, Army of Darkness in second with riders Taylor Knapp and Hunter Dunham, and Nature Power Superbike in third with riders Ruehling, Jason Waters, and Dan Kruger.

Motor Drone Racing finished fourth overall and took their first victory of the season with riders Shane Mags and Brad Burns on a Wiseco sponsored GSX-R600. Trash Panda finished fifth overall and second in the middleweight class with riders Chuck Ivey, Nathan Seethaler and Sean Hopkins on a YZF-R6. Topbox Road Racing finished seventh overall and third in middle weight on a Yamaha YZF-R6 with riders Tony McKnight and Doug Royce.

Robem Engineering continues their dominance of the Lightweight class on their Aprilia RS660 with riders Alessandro DiMario and Hank Vossberg. The family team of Brown Town Racing finished second and endurance veterans Some Expense Spared finished third.

RTR Racing’s Ryne Snooks and Isaac Woodworth (riding for the injured Logan Cunnison) won a drama free 2-Hour Ultralightweight Endurance after a race long battle with One One Nine Racing’s 14-year-old Reese Frankenfield and Carson King. Team Yo! finished in the third position with riders Giacomo Manera and Keith Buras.

Nashville Racing Team won the Relay Class with DDS Racing in second and Double D rounding out the podium.

Round 4 of the N2/WERA National Endurance Series is at Pittsburg International Race Complex on August 10th. Check with www.n2td.org for details.
