New for JiR

The Japanese rider Kohta Nozane, Team JiR’s designated rider for 2014, decided to suspend his racing activity after the sudden death of his father, which occurred close to the Christmas holidays. In accordance with his decision, the team – directed by Gianluca Montiron – thanks to the support of its partners, has scheduled the debut of another talented Japanese rider: Tetsuta Nagashima, a 21 -year-old who has already raced with the official TSR in the last Grand Prix of Japan.

Several days of hectic work and further efforts will allow the team to fulfill the test program as we approach the 2014 race debut in Qatar. This includes the IRTA test in Valencia (11th-13th February) and Jerez (18th-20th February), punctuated by a further two days of private testing in Almeria organized by the Team for the 15th and 16th February.

The Team JiR confirms for the fifth consecutive year the relationship with the company TSR, which will provide its frames to the technical team run by Gianluca Montiron.

The major collaboration agreements with Japanese companies as well as the choice of a rider as Nagashima confirms the DNA of the team, explained in the anagram that make up the name: Japan Italy Racing. As a culmination of this project, the team is now working to develop a three-year program to put the young Japanese in the best conditions to grow and do well in the MotoGP World Championship, Moto2 class.
