Team Be-Ev.Com Racing is finalizing plans for the 2014 race season. Veteran racer Jeremiah Johnson will be returning as the team’s rider. Jeremiah has been racing for 22 years and has raced everything from mini bikes on kart tracks to AMA Superbike. He has also been building, riding, and racing electric bikes since 2008. In 2013, Jeremiah and Team Be-Ev.Com Racing focused on electric motorcycles for their racing goals. The team is looking to build on the successful 2013 season, which saw Johnson capture 6 podiums, along with fastest qualifier award in the inaugural Pikes Peak International Hillclimb Electric Motorcycle class, and finish 3rd overall in the FIM US eRoadracing Championship.

To help increase our performance level on the track, Team Be-EV.com is happy to announce that we have teamed up with Brutus Electric Motorcycles to have Jeremiah race the brand new Brutus V2 Rocket electric motorcycle that is being built by their Bell Custom Bike shop in Las Vegas, NV. Gene Seymour, CTO of Brutus Electric Motorcycles, said, “When we started designing our V2 Rocket, I knew instantly who had to race it: Jeremiah. I knew Bell Custom Cycles/Brutus Electric Motorcycles wanted someone with Jeremiah’s passion, skill, and knowledge to ride our introduction into the world motorcycle racing scene. As a technical racing advisor, Jeremiah has helped guide our design and develop the V2 Rocket into what it is today: a flexible platform for racing or street riding that will deliver reliable and exciting performance. I’m looking forward to seeing where 2014 brings the partnership of Brutus Electric Motorcycles and Jeremiah Johnson with Team Be-Ev.com.”

Brutus Electric Motorcycles has been consulting with Jeremiah and Team Be-Ev.Com to design the bike for the race track. Jeremiah recently had the opportunity to fly to Vegas to meet with Chris Bell, President of Brutus Electric Motorcycles, and see the bike building process and give input into final fit and finish for what he needs as a professional racer. Chris said, “Jeremiah’s input on the V2 Rocket project has not only made it a better machine, it has allowed Bell Custom Cycles to expand its line to include racing electric motorcycles. From our initial conversation I knew I had to have Jeremiah pilot the V2 for its first appearance and the many more to come. With Jeremiah’s breadth of racing experience and Team Be-Ev.Com behind him, I am confident together we will have quite a good showing for 2014.”

Team Be-EV.Com Racing will be using the new Brutus V2 Rocket to have Jeremiah once again return to Pikes Peak International Hillclimb. Johnson will also be piloting the V2 Rocket at roadracing tracks across the country, as well as other less mainstream types of racing. Jeremiah is impressed with the early stages of the bike and is looking forward to the advances the team can bring to electric racing with it. Johnson said, “It was really cool to be able to give some input to the design from the beginning and then to be able to go to the shop and give suggestions on slight modifications at the midway point. It is really good to be working with a company that is striving to always get better and is open to suggestions. I’m really looking forward to racing the Brutus V2 Rocket this year. With the design and specs of this bike, I am looking to add some different types of races this year than what I normally race. It is a good meeting of minds so to speak, with different players bringing different aspects to the table. It is looking like it is going to be a good season.”
