Cameron Beaubier dominated MotoAmerica Steel Commander Superbike Test Session Two Thursday at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Park, in Lexington, Ohio. Riding his Tytlers Cycle Racing BMW M 1000 RR on Dunlop Sportmax Slick control tires, the five-time Champion led the 20-rider field with a time of 1:24.126, which was nearly one full second quicker than the next-fastest rider.
The best of the rest was current Championship point leader Josh Herrin, who did a 1:25.110 on his Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati Panigale V4 R.
Herrin’s teammate Loris Baz was third at 1:25.536.
Superbike rookie Sean Dylan Kelly did a fourth-fastest 1:25.592 on his EasyHealthPlans.com/TopGun Racing BMW.
Three-time and defending Champion Jake Gagne rounded out the top five with a 1:25.736 on his Attack Performance/Progressive Yamaha YZF-R1.
