MotoAmerica Junior Cup Championship point leader Matthew Chapin is proving to be the rider to beat after topping Junior Cup Test Session Three Thursday at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in Lexington, Ohio. Riding his Dunlop-shod BARTCON Racing Kawasaki Ninja 400, Chapin lowered his leading lap time from 1:38.026 in Session Two to 1:37.119 in Session Three.

New York Safety Track’s Yandel Medina was a distant second at 1:38.021.

Wolfe Racing’s Ryan Wolfe was third-quickest at 1:38.769.

Chapin’s teammate Eli Black did a fourth-fastest 1:39.041.

Fernandez Racing’s Jayden Fernandez rounded out the top five with a 1:39.143.
