Riding his S&S Indian Challenger at the 2.4-mile track for the first time, the reigning Australian Superbike Champion led the field with a lap at 1:28.548.

Kyle Wyman, the current Championship point leader, was just a tick behind Herfoss with a 1:28.590 on his Harley-Davidson Factory Racing Road Glide.

Rocco Landers was third-quickest at 1:29.118 on his RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson.

Hayden Gillim, Landers’ teammate and the defending Champion, was fourth in the session with a 1:29.277.

Wyman’s teammate James Rispoli rounded out the top five with a 1:29.456.
