Miller Motorsports Park Announces 2014 Schedule Season tickets on sale now TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (December 18, 2013) — Miller Motorsports Park has announced its schedule of events for 2014, offering another jam-packed season of exciting racing events for motorsports enthusiasts of all types. “We are very excited about our 2014 schedule,” said John Larson, General Manager of Miller Performance. “We offer something for just about everyone with an interest in racing, from off-road trucks to motocross, road racing cars and motorcycles and karting. We’re coming off a great season in 2013, and we’re looking forward to more of the same next year.” As was the case in 2013, the first major event of the year will be the fifth annual visit by the popular Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, which will return on the weekend of June 21-22. The series will compete on the high-speed Off Road Short Course, and its high-flying, door-banging excitement has attracted increasing numbers of fans every year. Miller Motorsports Park is reviving the Bike Fest name for the weekend of July 26-27, with the WERA Motorcycle Roadracing group competing on the road racing track along with the Utah Sport Bike Association’s Masters of the Mountains series. An added attraction will be the U.S. Pro Supermoto organization, who will compete on MMP’s renowned Supermoto course. The year’s biggest event will return on August 23 as the Utah National, Round 12 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, will bring the world’s best motocross athletes back to the Beehive State in their only Utah appearance of the year. This second annual Utah National will be the series’ season finale, with the possibility of class championships being decided on MMP’s unique motocross venue located in the infield of the road-racing course. The Utah Grand Prix will be the final major event of the year over the weekend of September 13-14, and this year the headlining NASCAR K&N Pro Series West will be joined by the SCCA Pro Racing Pirelli World Challenge Championships and the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy West series. This will be the eighth appearance at MMP by the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, and the seventh appearance by the World Challenge group after a year’s absence. In addition to the major events, there is a wide selection of other events to attract fans in 2013. These include the first-ever Utah appearance of the 24 Hours of LeMons, a whimsical endurance race for cars costing no more than $500 that attracts some of the most unusual racing cars you’ll ever see, on Memorial Day weekend, May 31 – June 1. The prestigious Rotax MAX Challenge United States Grand Nationals event returns over the weekend of July 19-20, attracting many of the nation’s top karters, some of whom will go on to become household names in the years to come. The popular Ultra4 American Rock Sports Challenge off-road event will share the Utah National weekend on August 22-23, bringing some of the world’s most extreme off-road racing vehicles to compete on both the Off Road Short Course and the demanding Rock Crawling Course. One of MMP’s oldest annual events, the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association’s Bonneville Vintage Grand Prix, will once again return over Labor Day weekend, on August 30-31. The 2014 edition of CruiserFest for Toyota Land Cruiser aficionados is scheduled for September 6-7 and the Intermountain Region of the Porsche Club of America will make their annual visit over the weekend of September 20-21. As always, Miller Motorsports Park also offers a full slate of events for our four amateur championships. The Utah Region of the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) sports cars and the Utah Sport Bike Association’s Masters of the Mountains motorcycle racing series will each contest a six-race title chase. The Utah Kart Championship will have a 10-round championship in 2014 plus two “Ice Breaker” events, and the rapidly-growing Lucas Oil Off Road Regional Series – Utah will have a five-race schedule of events in its third full season. Miller Motorsports Park’s popular Wide Open Wednesday program will also return in 2014, with monthly opportunities for fans to drive the road racing track at a low cost between April and October. Individual event tickets and season passes are now on sale. Season tickets are priced at $125 and offer access to every MMP-sanctioned racing event during the year. The price includes general admission and a pit pass to the Utah National (normally $60), exclusive covered grandstand seating for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (normally $60) and general admission to Bike Fest and the Utah Grand Prix (normally $45). That represents $40 in savings before you factor in all the other events, making it a significant bargain.
