Solis topped qualifying for both the 600 Expert class (a.k.a. Expertos SS1) and the 1000 Expert class (a.k.a. SBK 1000). Riding a Honda CBR600RR in 600 Expert, Solis turned his best lap at 1:45.396 at an average speed of 84.9 mph on the 2.48-mile course. Riding a borrowed Yamaha YZF-R1 in 1000 Expert, Solis turned a best lap at 1:44.368 at an average speed of 85.4 mph. Socrates Juliaras was second-quickest in 600 Expert qualifying, turning a best lap at 1:45.753; Richie Escalante was third-quickest on a Triumph 675 at 1:46.318. Escalante was second-quickest in 1000 Expert qualifying, riding a Yamaha YZF-R1 and turning a best lap at 1:45.577; Nathun Alvarez was third-quickest at 1:45.749. Final races will be held Sunday.
