Pets Named After Famous Racers, Part 52: Milky The Cat

Kenny Cummings of New York City sent in this photo, and a note: “I’ve had a good chuckle at your Pets Named After Famous Roadracers thread – some really good ones there. “Attached you’ll find a snap of my reliable buddy, Milky, the cat. “Named after Isle Of Man TT and Manx GP winner (and one of my personal heroes) Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle. When we were looking for a name for our newborn cat, Milky had just won the Senior Manx GP on a Manx Norton in 2002. “Most folks just think he’s named so because of his milky black Korat fur, and quite honestly, sometimes it takes too long to explain it all to our non-racing friends.” Do you have a pet named after a famous racer, or know someone else who has a pet named after a famous racer? Send an in-focus pet photo (as a jpeg file) along with the name of the pet, the name of their human or humans, and their hometown, to [email protected] . The photo may be featured on roadracingworld.com during slow news days.
