Crescent Racing has announced that the Voltcom Group will move from team partner to Title Sponsor for the English-based team’s attack on the 2014 eni FIM Superbike World Championship. The new-look ‘Voltcom Crescent Suzuki’ World Superbike team will enter the series with two riders and a sense of renewed determination. Following the signing of 2013 championship runner-up Eugene Laverty, the news that the Voltcom Group will become title sponsor adds more momentum to the squad as Crescent Suzuki continues with its preparations for next season. Laverty visits the ‘Motorcycle Live’ show at the NEC on Saturday 23rd November as a Voltcom Crescent Suzuki rider and the first competitive outing for the team will be at the first round of the 2014 Superbike World Championship, scheduled for Phillip Island in Australia next February. Mark Wright – Voltcom Group Managing Director: “Everyone at the Voltcom Group is delighted to be taking the next step in sports sponsorship as we become title sponsor of the Crescent Suzuki World Championship team. Being able to create a high profile team in Voltcom Crescent Suzuki gives us the opportunity to reach out to a broader group of existing and potential clients. Crescent is a highly-professional team and we know that they will carry the Voltcom Group’s name with the same pride and professionalism that they put into making the Suzuki GSX-R the best it can be. With the addition of Eugene and another very exciting rider to be named soon, the team is certainly pushing forward and we are delighted to be a part of it.” Paul Denning – Team Manager: “Crescent Suzuki is very pleased that the Voltcom Group has taken the decision to become title sponsor of the team after its first season in World Superbikes as a team partner. To have secured such a prominent and forward thinking company such as Voltcom in today’s tough commercial environment is good news for the team from a performance perspective – and shows the faith that the company is placing in what we are trying to achieve in 2014. We are looking forward to revealing the new ‘Voltcom Crescent Suzuki’ livery and look forward to a long and successful partnership, on and off track.” About the Voltcom Group: Voltcom Group’s principal business is in the provision of electrical services to the UK’s electrical transmission and distribution networks and its role is simple: to help power suppliers and their contractors to provide uninterrupted electricity supply to domestic and commercial customers.
