Young Gun Profile: Tyler Linders

Earlier this year, Roadracing World ran a series of Young Gun Profiles, which featured Roadracing World Young Guns competing in AMA Pro Road Racing. This article is a continuation of this series, which will now focus on the remaining Roadracing World Young Guns. These riders were also featured in the March 2013 Issue of Roadracing World. This week’s featured rider is Tyler Linders. Although Linder’s 2013 season was cut extremely short due to a broken pelvis and foot injuries suffered in a crash at the beginning of SuperSport Race 2 at Road America on June 2, 2013 (only his second race of the 2013 season), Linder’s strong performance in 2012 makes him a rider worth mentioning (Linders finished fifth in the SuperSport West Championship). Linders recently told Roadracing World that he is “recovering quite well” from his injuries. He reported that his pelvis is completely healed and his foot is getting “much better,” although he must still use a boot to walk and can only walk very short distances without the boot. Tyler is currently working on regaining his strength in physical therapy and is hoping to receive doctor’s clearance to get back on the bike in the “next few months.” He plans on doing some track days and club events before the start of the 2014 season and will evaluate his readiness to return to the AMA Pro paddock then.
