New Yamaha WR250 Up for Grabs at Stanton Benefit Track Day in Sonoma SONOMA, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2013) — A brand-new Yamaha WR250 could be yours as 3J’s Motorcycle Track Days hosts a benefit motorcycle track day at Sonoma Raceway for injured Bay Area racer Dave Stanton on Monday, Nov. 18. The Yamaha WR250, one of the most advanced 250cc dual-purpose bikes on the market, will be raffled off during the motorcycle track day, which includes a full day of riding on the 12-turn road course, a catered lunch, T-shirt and evening reception. The winning ticket for the Yamaha will be selected during the evening reception. Raffle winners need not be present to win. The entire event is a benefit for Stanton, a Bay Area resident and long-time American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) competitor, who suffered a crushed spine and internal injuries as the result of a racing crash on June 2.The accident left Stanton paralyzed from the chest down, and he faces ongoing challenges in recovery, including financial concerns.
