Fort Worth, Texas – The American Sportbike Racing Association and Championship Cup Series would like to announce a schedule change for the 30th Annual Race of Champions at Daytona International Speedway. After pre-entry deadlines past for both ASRA/CCS and AHRMA (American Historic Motorcycle Racing Association), the total number of events on the schedule for AHRMA has been reduced, allowing some changes that will ease some of the time constraints on both series. AHRMA will now run a full slate of races on Friday, as on the original schedule, and the second full race line up on Saturday leaving their scheduled time on Sunday for CCS competitors. The following three races have moved from Saturday October 19th to Sunday October 20th in response to the schedule change requested by AHRMA. This move also allows ASRA/CCS to add an additional practice session on Sunday morning for all CCS groups. * Moto 3 / CCS Ultralight ThunderBike * HW SuperSport (EX & AM) * CCS ThunderBike (EX & AM) For the complete revised schedule, please visit the CCS website at www.ccsracing.us and click the revised schedule link on the front page. The American SportBike Racing Association (ASRA) is the parent organization to the Championship Cup Series (CCS), the largest amateur motorcycle road racing organization in the United States issuing over 3,000 licenses per year. ASRA promotes eight AMA sanctioned Sprint Series and eight AMA sanctioned Team Challenge road racing events for 2013. The CCS Series sanctions 45 events at popular tracks around the United States, including Daytona International Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Road America, Heartland Park, and Virginia International Raceway among other fine venues. In 2013 ASRA and CCS will provide riders with access to millions of dollars of sponsorship awards through participation in its sanctioned events.
