Medical Update: Honda TT Legends Rider Simon Andrews

Honda TT Legends: update on Simon Andrews Following his accident during the 24 Heures Moto at Le Mans on Saturday evening, Honda TT Legends rider Simon Andrews is making the first steps to recovery. Simon underwent successful surgery to his leg on Sunday and had also been placed on a ventilator as a result of the damage to his lung. He was taken off the ventilator yesterday evening and is now able to breath on his own. While he continues to be in some pain, Simon has been awake and chatting with his parents, who remain with him in hospital as he receives ongoing treatment for his injuries Mr. and Mrs. Andrews would like to express their appreciation for the messages and well wishes that they and Simon have received in the last few days. They are unable to respond to all messages in person, but are extremely grateful for the ongoing support. Further updates will be provided as and when they are available.
