Watch Newly Crowned Champ Cameron Beaubier & Teammate Garrett Gerloff As The Yamaha Extended Service/Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Team Presents Its Video Recap Of New Jersey Motorsports Park Cypress, CA – September 23, 2013 – Rider of the #6 Y.E.S./Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha YZF-R6 Cameron Beaubier came to New Jersey Motorsports Park having won the Daytona 200, along with 9 of the 10 AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike races and all of the pole positions so far in the season. He had also set new lap records at the past six racetracks in a row on the 2013 schedule. And, when he left NJMP this past Sunday night, Cameron added yet another pole position, two more DSB race wins (including his seventh and eighth wins in a row), a seventh-consecutive lap record, and an all-time DSB single-season win record to his already impressive racing resume. But, most important of all, Cameron also wrapped up the 2013 AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike Championship. It was the first DSB title for Yamaha. Meanwhile, Cameron’s teammate Garrett Gerloff–who was returning to the track where he made his professional racing debut, where he got his first AMA Pro win, and where he came back from the worst injury of his young career–had a weekend of ups and downs. He qualified second on the grid right next to Cameron with a lap time that was faster than the previous track record, but then, he suffered a minor tipover in Saturday’s Race 1, and finally, he finished out the weekend with a strong second-place finish in Sunday Race 2. In our video recap, you’ll see Garrett talk candidly about his “up, then down, then up” weekend, while Cameron talks with “Mr. Daytona” and CBS Sports Network expert commentator Scott Russell about the first of what is sure to be many professional road racing championships. You’ll also see track-action courtesy of CBS Sports Network, and meet Y.E.S. Umbrella Girls Melanie and Brittany. Look for the video recap of the Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha SuperBike team’s weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park, as well.
