The Blusens Avintia team and Toni Elías decide by mutual agreement not to end the Moto2 season together Barcelona/Madrid. The Blusens Avintia team and the first Moto2 World Champion, Toni Elías, will not end the 2013 season together. They both joined their efforts and hopes in a project that must have led to achieve the corresponding results according to their quality and professionalism. However, the events do not always happen as expected and despite the dedication, good harmony and unity between the team and Toni himself, the common objectives were not being got. It is not a secret that the results obtained so far were not to anybody?s liking, even though the team has provided all the necessary means and Elías has given the maximum on the track. Toni already aspired to the Superbike World Championship for the next season, but a sudden offer of a team to the rider from Manresa in order to finish this year in this championship, has accelerated the process. Elías thanks the team for the effort and dedication shown this season and, especially, for the facilities that they have given him to be able to agree to the Superbike proposal. For its part, the Blusens Avintia team is satisfied with having shared this season with a rider of the quality of Toni Elías and thanks the World Champion for his professionalism and desire to improve. The Argentine Ezequiel Iturrioz, rider from the CEV of Moto2, will replace Elías until the end of the season. All the members of the Blusens Avintia team wish the best for Toni Elías in his new racing activity. More, from another press release issued by Blusens Avintia Moto2 Team: GP Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini 11/9/13 The Argentinian Ezequiel Iturrioz and the rider from Navarra Alex Mariñelarena will be the Blusens Avintia Moto2 riders at the San Marino GP After the agreement reached between Toni Elías and the Blusens Avintia team in which the possibility of competing in the last races of the Superbike World Championship was facilitated to the rider from Manresa, the Argentinian rider of the CEV, Ezequiel Iturrioz, will replace Elías until the end of the season taking the controls of the Kalex that the Catalan has ridden so far. Ezequiel, who is currently living in Spain and racing for second season in the Spanish Championship of Moto2, was very excited about the opportunity to compete in the MotoGP World Championship and do so with a team of the Blusens Avintia level. Another rider from the inexhaustible reserve of the CEV, Alex Mariñelarena, will substitute the injured Dani Rivas who is making a satisfactory recovery from his accident at Silverstone. Alex is in second place of the Moto2 classification in the said championship after the last round in Albacete and was wild card at the last year?s Aragón GP and in Jerez and Germany this 2013. Mariñelarena, from Navarra and resident in Zaragoza, is enthusiastic about this opportunity. 34 Ezequiel Iturrioz: I am very excited about being able to race in the World Championship, it is a dream and a great chance. It makes me proud to personify the return of the Argentinian motorcycling to the MotoGP World Championship. They will be very complicated races because everything will be new for me: technicians, bike, tyres and circuits, but I am mentally prepared to make the most of this opportunity and learn to the maximum to be able to continue growing as a rider. I want to thank for all the shows of affection I have received from Argentina and I also want to thank Raúl Romero and Blusens Avintia for putting their trust in me and for the opportunity they have given me. 92 Alex Mariñelarena: There is no doubt that it is a great chance and that it arrives at a good time for me. I am expectant because, although I have already participated in the World Championship as a wild card with my team of the CEV, doing so with Blusens Avintia is different. It is a team with a large experience and I will ride a very competitive bike. Undoubtedly the biggest problem will be to adapt to the tyres but the bike is already developed and got ready with them and that can help me. I hope to achieve it and be able to do a good weekend.
