Valentino Rossi Is Fifth On Forbes’ Top-Earning Racers List

Nine-time Grand Prix World Champion Valentino Rossi is ranked fifth on Forbes’ 2013 list of Top-Earning Drivers in Motorsports. According to Forbes, Rossi, age 34, earned a total of $22 million, with $12 million coming from salary and winnings and $10 million coming from endorsement deals, between June 2012 and June 2013. The top-earner on the list is Ferrari Formula One driver Fernando Alonso, who earned $30 million, including $28 in salary and winnings and $2 million in endorsements. In addition to Rossi, the list of 10 racers includes four Formula One drivers and five NASCAR drivers, including Danica Patrick, who was ranked ninth with $15 million in earnings ($6 million salary/winnings and $9 million endorsements).
