Repsol Honda head to Great Britain looking to continue fantastic form This week the MotoGP family visits Great Britain for the third race in as many weeks. Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa have no time to rest, after an incredible 1-2 finish, the fourth of the season, in the Czech Republic on Sunday. Silverstone has a rich racing heritage stretching back over 60 years and has become an iconic motorsport venue. Built on an former airfield, the 5.9km track is popular with the riders and is one of the fastest circuits on the calendar. This is the fourth year that the paddock will visit Silverstone since it replaced Donington in 2010. Rookie and Championship leader Marc, will be seeking his fifth win in a row after a remarkable victory in Brno. He has celebrated two podiums in three visits to Silverstone, including a victory in the 125cc class in 2010. Dani, 2nd in the Championship behind his teammate, will be looking for his first win since Le Mans. Dani stepped onto the podium here for the first time in 2012, with a 3rd place finish. Marc Marquez Championship Standing: 1st – 213 points “We will see how Silverstone is with MotoGP, in 125cc I enjoyed it a lot but in Moto2 I struggled a little. I think a key factor will be the weather there as it can change quite a lot! Last year Lorenzo had a very good race so I am sure he will be strong. But we are coming off four victories in a row, we have good momentum and I feel really comfortable and confident on the bike. Let’s see how the situation is when we get there and as always work hard from Friday morning!” Dani Pedrosa Championship Standing: 2nd – 187 points “After Brno I’m feeling pretty good and my physical condition is improving all the time, so I hope we can take another step this weekend in Silverstone. It is a tough and fast track with many changes of direction and we need a good set to suit both the fast and slow corners. Last year was a hard race so I hope to be strong again this year! In the UK you never know what the weather will do so let’s hope for good conditions from the start”
