DENVER, Colo. (August 8, 2013) – Ben Bostrom Events regretfully announced today that the inaugural Rock ‘n Road Challenge has been rescheduled. The three-day cycling festival conceptualized by international motorcycle racing athlete Ben Bostrom and longtime event promoter M1 will be planned for the Fall of 2014. “I’m not too good at calling it quits on anything and never have been, from getting stuck out all night in Australia climbing rocks to walking out of the Mojave Desert in my motorcycle boots.” said Ben Bostrom. “So it’s fair to say I don’t have the best judgment on preparation or when to reschedule an epic. Thankfully I have my partners at M1 to make sure the Rock ‘n Road Challenge is done right. I’ve been pushing hard to create an event this year because I love cycling so much that I lose realistic time frames and M1 has been fighting for 2014 the entire time. I know this is what they specialize in and just want the inaugural Ben Bostrom Events to be one of the greatest of all time. We’re not quitting, just getting better prepared to throw down the best event possible for our participants. I look forward to seeing you all again in 2014.” The 2014 Rock ‘n Road Challenge will be held at Copper Mountain, one of Colorado’s premier cycling destinations. When the inaugural Rock ‘n Road Challenge kicks off next fall, road and mountain cycling enthusiasts are invited to come out and ride two challenging and enjoyable courses alongside motorcycle and cycling superstars including the likes of Ben Bostrom, Eric Bostrom, Scott Russell, Chris Fillmore and a number of Tour professionals. “Due to the timing of the company launch and trying to pull everything together so late in 2013 for the inaugural event, we’ve decided to move to a later date in order to ensure that Ben Bostrom Events will provide the top-notch entertainment experience that we represent,” said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 and Ben Bostrom Events. “We pride ourselves in promoting world class events and know that when the Rock ‘n Road Challenge rolls into town in 2014, fans and riders alike will have an absolute blast.” All those that pre-entered in the Rock ‘n Road Challenge will be contacted by Ben Bostrom Events and will receive a 100% refund. As a thank you to the cycling enthusiasts that expressed an immediate interest and supported this new event, everyone that pre-entered in the Rock ‘n Road Challenge will also receive a 50% discount on their registration fees for the 2014 event. About the Rock ‘n Road Challenge The Rock ‘n Road Challenge is the ultimate cycling weekend, combining road and mountain cycling courses where every detail has been meticulously chosen to provide enjoyment for both the serious and recreational cyclist alike with an entertainment extravaganza that will be fun for the whole family. Copper Mountain, one of Colorado’s premier cycling resorts, is the ideal venue to host the inaugural Rock ‘n Road Challenge. Located just 75 miles west of Denver, Colo., Copper Mountain lies in the heart of the aptly named Summit County and features some of the most scenic on- and off-road riding in the country.
