AMA Pro Supersport racer Travis Ohge was injured when he crashed during Saturday’s race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Ohge was running inside the top 10 on his Houston Superbikes Suzuki GSX-R600 when he crashed after he and another rider made contact in Turn Six on lap eight of 16. Safety workers attended to Ohge at the scene, and the race was stopped with a red flag so the 19-year-old Oregon native could be transported. Ohge was airlifted to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California, according to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca staff. Ohge is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with head trauma, according to his mother, Tina Ohge. Roadracing World will provide updated information as it becomes available.
