Moto West GP is celebrating the arrival of the half-way point of their inaugural season this weekend, June 15th/16th at Streets of Willow in Rosamond, CA. Round 4 of the 8 round series that competes on three different track configurations will be run counter-clockwise on the Streets course. This configuration has been regarded as an exciting and fresh take on racing at Willow Springs offering new turn combinations, new lines, and a much needed change in general. The season has shaped up very well with consistently over 100 racers competing and most recently at round 3 over 300 entries meaning the average racer is getting in 3 or more races per weekend! Moto West GP is also dedicated to keeping racing affordable and sustainable for our competitors. The fees charged for race entry into Formula 1 and Formula 2 are now being split with half the amount being put right back into the purse for the top 5 finshers. In addition, new series sponsors are also joining our campaign offering discounts and special deals for licensed and competing Moto West GP members.
Chicken Hawk Racing is supplying discount coupons to be raffled off to competitors during the rider’s meeting. Your race entry is all you need to enter to win. David Podolsky (Founder of Chicken Hawk Racing): “Chicken Hawk Racing is really proud to be a part of the Moto West GP series. The region has so many dedicated racers who are hungry for a racing series that can meet their needs. The staff at Moto West GP is providing an excellent series for them to compete in; we know it will be a great success and we here at CHR are all in.”
The D-Store of Orange County is also extending a discount to licensed and competing riders on their exceptional Dainese and AGV protective gear. Confirm with Moto West GP staff that your name is on the list of current competing Moto West GP racers to ensure you are eligible. Thomas Monroe (Owner of D-Store Orange County): “Willow Springs is part of Southern California’s racing history, and Dainese’s D-Stores are excited to be working with MotoWestGP as they continue this great tradition.”
