NGM Mobile Forward riders head back to Spain for the 6th round of the season The Grand Premi Aperol de Catalunya takes the NGM Mobile Forward Racing riders Colin Edwards, Claudio Corti, Simone Corsi, Alex De Angelis and Mattia Pasini and Ricky Cardús back to Spain for the sixth round of the season. MotoGP riders Colin Edwards and Claudio Corti have a set goal to finish the Spanish race with their FTR – Kawasaki bike in the Top15. The American rider is looking forward to being in the points for the third race in a row while Italian teammate Corti wants to take his first points of the season in Catalunya. In the Moto2 category the pressure is on for Ricky Cardús who will be riding for the first time his SpeedUp bike at his home track at Montmelo. His Italian teammates Simone Corsi, Alex De Angelis and Mattia Pasini will fight to be in the Top10 this weekend. Colin Edwards “I am ready to get back to work at Barcelona! I also have my wife coming over for this GP so I’m looking forward to that too. The track is fun and we want to put on a good show for the Spanish fans. All the work that we have done up to now preparing and figuring out chassis and electronics has been intense and I am looking forward to getting it to work there.” Claudio Corti “We get to Barcelona after two very complicated races: the engine break at Le Mans and the race finish in the pits at Mugello. These last weeks I have remained very concentrated, training a lot and trying to think only about this upcoming race, knowing that Barcelona has always been a hard track for me in the past. I want to get to this race and make up for the last two race results. My goal is to be in the points from now on!” Simone Corsi “I can’t wait for Friday practices to begin this GP! I enjoy this track a lot and for some reason in Spain there is always a special atmosphere during the race weekend. During the Monday test after Mugello we didn’t test new things so this means that this weekend the bike will be the same as at Mugello. Both the team and I want to step it up and improve the results we had at the Italian GP.” Alex De Angelis “The Catalunya GP is always a good race: it is a very technical track and the heat is almost always guaranteed! The goal is to make the best result of the season so far and keep improving.” Mattia Pasini “After a difficult home race, compromised by the crash suffered during qualifying on Saturday, we come to Barcelona eager as ever to perform well. I want to deliver a good performance as I did at Austin and Le Mans and be as competitive as ever.” Ricky Cardus “My home race is next and it is very important for me, I can’t wait for it to begin! In these past weeks since Mugello I have worked very hard to improve my results and make a significant improvement.”
