AMA Pro Superbike racer Chris Ulrich got a Milwaukee, Wisconsin television news crew excited about AMA Pro Road Racing with 150-mph rides on his new GEICO Honda CBR1000RR two-seat Superbike Thursday at Road America. “That was so cool!” said C.J. Knee, Associate Sports Producer for Fox6 News. “I was scared at first. I won’t lie. But after we got out of pit lane, I felt OK. Then we hit the straightaway, and it felt like we were flying. However fast we were going I felt like we could go faster, because it felt great. “I’m not a fan of roller coasters, but this was a great ride. This was phenomenal. I think it (motorcycle road racing) is fantastic. From my standpoint, I can now say that this is a sport where you have to be physically fit. No doubt. After just two laps I was getting tired. There’s no question that if fans come out here and see these speeds I don’t see how they can’t fall in love with this sport. This is phenomenal! This is great!” “That was awesome! That was incredible!” said Ashley Cohen, Sports Producer with Fox6 News. “I was feeling nervous, but he [Ulrich] was awesome. It was great. We were going pretty fast.” Several representatives from Broaster Chicken headquarters and distributor Broaster Sales—which sponsors Ulrich–also took two-up rides for a video promoting the sport and a related blog following AMA Pro Road Racing. “We had two great TV people and several friends from Broaster Chicken out today for rides on the two-seater,” said Ulrich. “It was our first time out with our new Honda CBR1000RR two-seat Superbike, and I was really, really happy with how the bike worked and with all of our great passengers. I’d like to thank Road America, Broaster Chicken, Fox6 News and AMA Pro Racing for helping us promote the AMA Pro Road Races at Road America. It was a great day, and I’m looking forward to this weekend.” For over a decade, Ulrich and his team have offered rides on two-seat racebikes to reporters to help promote AMA Pro Superbike events and motorcycle road racing in general. Ulrich himself has given nearly 600 two-seat racebike rides since 2003.
