BELL ADDS DUNLOP TO ROAD RACING ROSTER SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. – Bell Helmets is proud to announce that Isle of Man contender William Dunlop has joined the roster for 2013. The 27-year-old from Balleymoney, Ireland will be competing not only in the prestigious TT, but also the North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix, and the entire British Supersport Championship aboard his new Milwaukee Yamaha. “I would like to thank Bell helmets for their support in 2013,” said William Dunlop. “As a road racer taking part in an extreme sport like the Isle Of Man TT races, safety is my first concern and Bell has been protecting racers since way back in 1954. That history and heritage is confidence inspiring and allows me to push myself to the limits.” William, nephew to Joey Dunlop, son to Robert Dunlop, and brother to Michael Dunlop, clearly has racing the TT in his blood. He has only missed one TT since he first contended the event in 2006 at age 20. The Tourist Trophy was first run in 1907 on the public roads of the Isle of Man, and to this day remains one of the last true forms of road racing. “I’m very excited to be working with William this year,” said Patrick Houlihan, Sports Marketing Manager for Bell. “I’m a huge fan of his dad, his uncle, him and his brother, and am really looking forward to seeing William in action. The TT is the last bastion of real road racing in the world, and takes a tremendous amount of talent, precision, and nerves of steel to contend. The opportunity to work with William is like a dream come true, not only because of the passion I have for the event, but the ability to test and develop product in the most demanding race on the planet.” William Dunlop will race this season exclusively in the Bell Star Carbon http://www.bellhelmets.com/powersports/helmets/street/star-carbon For more info on William Dunlop, click on the link http://www.bellhelmets.com/athletes/william-dunlop/
