With less than 3 weeks to go to the start of practice, 2013 will mark American Brandon Cretu’s fourth year of competition in the Isle of Man TT. The TT is considered to be one of the most prestigious motorsport races in the world, not to mention the most demanding. Cretu is set this year to compete aboard the Motul CBR1000RR and will be producing a mini-documentary from the TT races. Not long ago Cretu was able to secure more great sponsors for his 2013 real road racing effort at the TT and Macau GP, including outside industry sponsor HTFU.
HTFU Lifestyle Brand Clothing brings to market a brand and lifestyle that personifies the lives of elite athletes everywhere. HTFU is a lifestyle first and a brand second. They offer a wide variety of clothing for the elite athlete from t-shirts and hoodies to technical gear. Cretu will wear a custom painted Bell Star Carbon helmet by Andrew Swenson Design in HTFU livery.
“Today’s an exciting day for HTFU. The signing of Brandon Cretu brings another facet of sport to the already growing athlete base HTFU is forming. The brand, not indicative to just one discipline but more of an athletic mindset, has held a heavy interest to extend itself to the sport of pure motorcycle road racing with a special interest in the Isle of Man TT. We believe everything the brand stands for fits Brandon and his performance. It is an honor to have him and HTFU looks forward to the road ahead,” said HTFU Founder and CEO Mark Gingrich.
SportbikeTrackGear.com and Bell Helmets have also signed on to be the premier gear sponsors for Cretu’s 2013 effort. Cretu returns with Bell after a successful 2013 debut with their Star Carbon helmet and welcomes SportbikeTrackGear.com to his program. SportbikeTrackGear.com is your #1 choice for all your riding needs, from riding gear to performance accessories, including Bell Helmets! Cretu will wear the RS Taichi GP-WRX R303 suit, Knox Handroid gloves, and Alpinestars Supertech R boots, all of which can be found on SportbikeTrackGear.com.
“It is really exciting to be back with two companies that have a passion racing and supporting the sport that we all love. The TT is the ultimate test for any type of gear with two straight weeks of riding so Brian Van from STG and I have worked together to determine the best stuff for me to use for this year. I am really excited for this partnership and can’t thank them enough for stepping up to help.” said Cretu.
Next Moto Champion and Colin Edwards Texas Tornado Boot Camp have also signed on to help Cretu with his 2013 efforts. Keep an eye out for articles and interviews on Cretu’s Isle of Man TT and Macau GP endeavor in upcoming issues of Next Moto Champion. You may also find Cretu at a Texas Tornado Boot Camp this year honing his racecraft in preparation for these two prestigious events!
“I am really pumped to get back to the TT again this year and enjoy what is, quite literally, the best place on Earth to ride a motorbike. I have one more weekend to do some training with Jason Pridmore at his STAR School at Chuckwalla and then all that will be on my mind is setting off down Bray Hill at ludicrous speed!” said Cretu.
On May 24 Cretu will embark again to compete in the World’s greatest road race. He would like to thank everyone who participated in his fundraiser and all of his sponsors who stepped up to help out this year, especially Motul, Dunlop USA, HTFU, SportBikeTrackGear.com, Bell Helmets, and Irish Bike Magazine.
