CMRA Racing Coming to Eagles Canyon Raceway This Weekend This coming weekend, April 12 – 14, 2013, the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) is back in action at Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas. Post-entry for the races is available at the track beginning 3 pm Friday, April 12, 2013. The weather report looks great as the weekend schedule kicks off on Friday with the CMRA License School, racer practice and street-rider track day all provided by Lone Star Track Days (www.lstd.com). Saturday’s schedule includes a full slate of Mini sprint races followed by the 6-Hour Mini Endurance race and concludes with the first ever Team 60 event. Team 60 is a one hour race consisting of two riders, riding their own sprint bike with a mandatory transponder swap pit stop at the 30 minute mark. Mandatory riders briefing at 3:00, practice from 4:10-4:30 and the race will run from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. A meet and greet party gets going at the end of the day during the Trophy Presentation in the Winner’s Circle. Sunday’s schedule is jam-packed with a full day’s worth of exciting and competitive Big Bike sprint races. We have had record setting numbers of race entries so far this season, and we’re looking forward to another big turnout with riders and teams coming from all over the country! There is live timing and scoring available for all the races via the Race Monitor App on mobile devices and online at http://cmraracing.com/timing.html. The CMRA is also excited to announce Cortech apparel and gear coming aboard as a new contingency sponsor for multiple classes beginning this weekend. The contingency will be awarded for each weekend for the remainder of the season and can be combined toward the purchase of riding gear, including boots, gloves, and roadracing suits directly from Helmet House. Richard Kimes, Chief Marketing Officer for Helmet House Inc. said, “We’re very happy to be teaming up with the CMRA and Moto Liberty to offer premium quality riding gear to the racers of CMRA and award their racing efforts this season. Any rider with questions about our gear and specifications can see it at www.cortechperformance.com.” Gates open each day at 6:00 a.m. and we race rain or shine! Weekend entry into the event is only $15 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and just $10 on Sunday. Tickets are good for the entire weekend. Ride your street bike to the event and you’ll pay just $5 for entry on both Saturday and Sunday! Kids 12 and under are free. A spectator lap of the track will be conducted during the lunch break on Sunday, schedule and weather permitting.
