Circuit of The Americas™ offers special discount on MotoGP tickets to college students and military members Three-day general admissions tickets available for $49 with valid student or military ID card AUSTIN, Texas (March 29, 2013) – Circuit of The Americas is offering a special discount on tickets for its inaugural MotoGP event, the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas, for college students and members of the military. College students and service men and women with a valid student or military ID card may purchase three-day general admission passes for $49, which is a 55-percent discount over the price of a regular three-day general admission ticket ($89 per person). The Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas will be held April 19-21 at the United States’ first purpose-built Grand Prix racing, sports and entertainment complex, located in the heart of Texas. MotoGP, the pinnacle of all motorcycle World Championships, consists of 18 races in 13 countries on four continents with pan-global television coverage. The world’s most skilled riders, including current U.S. riders Colin Edwards, Ben Spies and 2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden, compete with cutting-edge, prototype motorcycle technology produced by Ducati, Honda and Yamaha, as well as the new CRT regulation machines from the likes of FTR, Suter and Aprilia. The series traditionally holds three races, including Moto2 and Moto3 competitions, during each event for various classes of motorcycles based on engine size. Circuit of The Americas will host all three series during its three-day event and also present the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup for teenaged competitors, which this season features two U.S. riders, Californians Joe Roberts and Anthony Alonso. Tickets for the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas can be purchased in advance at www.circuitoftheamericas.com/moto-gp and may be purchased at the Circuit’s two ticket offices each day of the event April 19-21. Three-day reserved seats will range in price from $133 to $199. Children aged 12 and under will receive free general admission passes when accompanied by an adult.
