Daytona Beach, Fl. (March 15th, 2013) – This weekend will be the 72nd running of the Daytona 200 America’s longest endurance motorcycle road race. For this special occasion Dainese and AGV celebrate the re-signing of two time AMA Pro SuperSport National Champion James Rispoli as he moves up to challenge the AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike class for 2013. James has enjoyed a long standing head-to-toe relationship with Dainese and AGV as he makes his debut in the Daytona 200 on this National Guard/Celtic Racing Suzuki GSX R600. In response to his graduation to the SportBike class James will also debut AGV’s new Pista GP helmet and have the honor of being the first USA rider to do so. “I am more than thrilled to represent Dainese and AGV again this year,” commented James. “I work extremely hard both on and off the track and I know how hard Dainese and AGV work to make sure I am covered each season with only the best safety apparel. That safety factor turns into confidence on the track and ultimately in my performance in each race. I want to thank everyone at Dainese and AGV for their continued support and all the innovations put into each and every product they design for motorcyclists worldwide to wear.” The Pista GP is an innovative helmet created as part of the AGV EXTREME STANDARDS HELMETS project. This new process has redefined helmet design and testing. Developing began by taking measurement of riders’ heads with a digital scanner. These measurements were then used to design the helmet from the “inside out”. AGV EXTREME STANDARDS HELMETS use FEM (Finite Elements Analysis) to set new standards as regards safety, comfort and ergonomics. The raw materials and technologies used in production have a low environmental impact. The Pista GP will be available in the USA from October 2013.
