Less than a week before the final pre-entry deadline of February 25th, AMA Pro Racing’s official entry list for the 2013 Daytona 200 included 26 riders–as of 10:45 a.m. Pacific Standard Time today. Post entries are not being accepted by AMA Pro Racing. Among those listed were 2011 Daytona 200 winner Jason DiSalvo on the #40 Triumph 675R fielded by Latus Motors Racing and 2012 Daytona 200 winner Joey Pascarella on the #52 Triumph 675R entered by Riders Discount Racing Triumph. Elena Myers was listed as riding the #21 Triumph 675R entered by Sturgess Cycle Triumph, as a teammate to Kenny Riedmann on the #42 Triumph 675R. (This just in: As of 10:55 a.m. PST, the Daytona 200 entry list posted by AMA Pro Racing had dropped from 26 to 23, with entries for Jason DiSalvo, Elena Myers and Kenny Riedmann disappearing for unexplained reasons.) Past Daytona 200 podium finishers entered in the 2013 race include Dane Westby on the #5 GEICO Motorcycle Honda CBR600RR and Cameron Beaubier on the #6 Yamaha Extended Service Yamaha YZF-R6. Besides Myers, other past SuperSport race winners moving up to the Daytona SportBike class and the Daytona 200 for 2013 include Garrett Gerloff on the #8 Yamaha Extended Service Yamaha YZF-R6, James Rispoli on the #43 Suzuki GSX-R600 fielded by National Guard/Celtic Racing, and Jake Lewis on the #85 Yamaha YZF-R6 entered by Meen Motorsports Racing. Several riders known to be contesting the series haven’t appeared on the posted entry lists, which could indicate that they haven’t entered or haven’t paid for their 2013 license yet.
