Ty Howard Signs with Dunlop to Race CMRA Events After off-season testing of the new USA-made Dunlop N-Tec slicks, Ty Howard has signed with Dunlop to race the entire CMRA season. Testing at NOLA, Eagles Canyon and Motorsport Ranch racetracks, Ty was able to get a full evaluation of the new product from Dunlop’s Buffalo, New York factory, and that was all that was needed for him to switch.
Ty has 20+ years of road racing experience, and numerous track records on Dunlop product. Ty is a wealth of knowledge and is a fearsome competitor. Many of Ty’s records still remain from years ago when he set them on Dunlops riding his KTM.
Dunlop, Race Tire Service and Whoopie Cycle are all proud to have him on board.
Right after testing the new USA N-Tecs, Ty said “It’s good to be back home on Dunlops. I know I can break some track records with these new compounds from the USA factory”.
“Ty has always been the top man in Texas and the CMRA. He was always breaking, and rebreaking track records when on Dunlops,” said Steve Brubaker of Race Tire Service, the National Race Distributor for Dunlop. “I am personally very happy to have him back home.”
Allan Campbell of Whoopie Cycle was instrumental in helping Ty test and get the setup working for the new USA made N-Tec’s, and has all the tech information to make them work at the tracks in Texas. “Ty’s input on how the tire works and feels is amazing. He came up to speed real quick in testing and was able to help us with invaluable feedback,” said Allan.
