SIX DECADES OF ITALIAN TRANSPORTATION HISTORY ON EXHIBIT IN PORTLAND THROUGH JANUARY Portland motorcycle dealer MotoCorsa empties its showroom for an exhibition of Italy’s most legendary motorcycles Portland, OR From now until January 31st, MotoCorsa, Portland’s leading motorcycle retailer, is transforming their showroom in downtown Portland into a museum of Italian motorcycle history. MotoCorsa has assembled an exhibition of more than 30 significant Ducati motorcycles spanning over 60 years of the famous Italian brand’s history. Dubbed Museo Ducati, the exhibition is open to all visitors free of charge throughout January, Many of the motorcycles on display represent the rarest of the rare, and the most significant chapters in Italian transportation and Ducati’s own history. Notable models include: · 1957 175 sport, a symbol of Italy’s race to the pinnacle of 1950’s motorcycle engineering · 1974 750SS “Green Frame”, a bike so rare that one recently sold for over $150,000 · 1982 TT2, the first Ducati to use the trademark trellis frame en route to countless race victories · 1993 Supermono, an engineering marvel of which only 67 examples were ever produced · 2008 Desmosedici RR, the most exotic road-going motorcycle ever put into series production This significant group of motorbikes was assembled for public view from several prominent private collections and museums. Many of the motorcycles are being shown in public for the first time since new. “I was thrilled to hear about the Museo Ducati exhibition MotoCorsa was planning, as I couldn’t remember the last time this many significant vehicles were assembled for public view in the Portland area,” said local Businessman and MotoCorsa owner Brad Tonkin. “Working in the automotive industry here, that thought really compelled me to get involved and include some of my own private collection for all to visit and enjoy.” The Museo Ducati exhibit is open for all to enjoy from now until January 31st at MotoCorsa- 2170 NW Wilson St. in Portland. Opening hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-6pm and visitors of all ages and motorcycle interests are encouraged to stop by and have a look.
