NEW SPONSORS FOR KELSEY IN 2013 RPSRaceTeam.com has finalized the majority of sponsorship agreements and contracts for lead pilot Danny Kelsey to compete in 2013. Kelsey who finished second in the CMRA overall championship is looking to recapture the #1 plate in 2013. To achieve this, the team made some strategic moves to ensure success in 2013. Pirelli/South Central Race Center and RS Taichi/Moto Liberty join returning sponsors KMC Controls, GP Suspension, JRi Shocks, DP Brakes, Dynojet, K’s Motorsports, MotopiaCafe.com, and Shoei Helmets for 2013. The team completed business with Pirelli and SCRC over the last 48 hours to ensure Kelsey will be on championship tires for 2013. Fans will see the Georgetown, Texas rider compete in all 10 rounds of the CMRA sprint championship series on Pirelli’s DOT and Slick tires. “I am excited about this move for myself and the team. Pirelli’s and SCRC’s commitment to the CMRA is impressive and I am looking forward to upping my performance in 2013″, noted Kelsey. SCRC’s John Hutchinson added, “We look forward to a great 2013 with Danny Kelsey on the Pirelli tires. We know he has the talent and the drive to recapture the CMRA #1 plate and we want to be a critical part of that success.” The other big move for Kelsey and the team was the move to RS Taichi leathers for 2013 provided by Moto Liberty in Dallas, Texas. “I am thrilled for Danny to be moving to the RS Taichi product in 2013. The RS Taichi suits have an dramatically impressive look, fit, and performance record on the track. The service and support that Moto Liberty has provided to us to ensure we get the right product is amazing. Audrey (Menarik) really is first class in how she delivers product to EVERY customer and we feel really great about having the opportunity to work with Moto Liberty”, stated team manager Marcus McBain. Kelsey will continue to receive “out of industry sponsorship” support from KMC Controls. KMC Controls, which manufactures building control systems with all parts and manufacturing completed in the USA, continues to support Kelsey for the third straight season. RPSRaceTeam.com will also continue the “Syndicate Program” for 2013. The program was designed for supporters of Danny Kelsey and the team to provide cash support for the team’s racing efforts. 10% of the program’s gathered funds are donated to the Roadracing World Action Fund and an additional 10% is provided in prizes for the participants of the program. “I was very positively surprised by the response from racers and fans in 2012. We officially booked $1650.00 through the Syndicate program. Last week we donated $165.00 to the Roadracing World Action Fund, and we are presenting a one-day school certificate to the Colin Edwards Texas Tornado Boot Camp for our Syndicate members. Over $500.00 in prizes and Roadracing World Action Fund donations were awarded from this grass roots effort, and that is really exciting”, noted Marcus McBain The team expects to complete all remaining sponsorship contracts by January 31, 2013. RPSRaceTeam.com and Danny Kelsey will kick off the season with round one of the CMRA sprint championship series at MSR Houston February 15 17.
