Pete Giammalvo 4-Hour F150 Endurance Race at OVRP Pete was a great guy who was an inspiration to everyone involved with motorcycle racing in the northeast. He promoted dirt track racing for over thirty years. Pete was Mr. Dirt Track in the New England states- he lived and breathed for racing to make sure it grew in our region. Over the years Pete bought and operated his own race track in Wachusett Valley, Massachusetts and ran race series and riding schools at various times. Everyone who knew Pete had known what he stood for, which was to promote what he enjoyed. When the races started his eyes lit up like a child’s would at Christmas. Pete ran races at all levels, from amateur nationals to professional hot shoe races. He had racers like Kenny Coolbeth, Bryan Smith, and Jared Mees. It was always important to Pete to educate young riders and help them get the experience they need to ride and compete safely. This weekend, on Sunday October 28th, the F150 Four Hour Endurance Series at OVRP will be recognizing Pete as someone who is sorely missed and will always be remembered. Top riders plan on attending, such as Kenny Coolbeth, John Lewis, Shane Narbone, Cory and Shayna Texter, and PJ Jacobsen. Kevin Clark, who flagged for Pete for many years, will start the race and throw the checkered flag in memory of Pete. Kevin flags most of the AMA Grand National races with his one of a kind style. PJ Jacobsen and Bob Weiss are welcoming everyone to come out and enjoy the racing in memory of our friend Pete Giammalvo.
