CHARITY BENEFIT RESULTS APOLOGIES AND PIRELLI/WERA SPORTSMAN FROM ROAD ATLANTA OCTOBER 7, 2012

I need to correct some of the riders on the WERA National Endurance Teams listed in yesterday’s Press Release my apologies to those I omitted or mistakenly named on the Teams. David Rose was the 3rd rider on the MWR Investigation Team riding for Team Owner Kenny Martin in the Heavyweight Class on the Suzuki GSX-R750, and for the Jolly Roger Endurance Team in the Lightweight Superbike Class on the Suzuki SV650 the riders were Garry Owen, Peter Hupperich, and Joe Melendez for this round. The Shelby Cycle ATV Team Riders were David Brooks, Jimmy Vanderhaar and Eric Murray for this round. Again I apologies to the riders and Teams for the errors!

On Sunday WERA Motorcycle Roadracing held a Raffle and parade laps on Saturday and Sunday to benefit the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities in honor of our Race Director’s nephew, Dane, who passed from cancer at a very young age. We are happy to report that $2,000 was raised through these activities for the Charity and thank all who gave so generously to help such a great organization here in Atlanta!

Sunday at the Rider’s Meeting Lucas Oil had donated a Remote Control Lucas Truck to give to a lucky rider attending the mandatory meeting and the name pulled was our young racer Josh Jovi, age 12 from Blythewood, SC. Lucas Oil is the preferred oil for WERA Motorcycle Roadracing and we thank them for their continued support of our programs.
