After a great day of testing at a local track in Florida, Santiago Villa has confirmed that he will be racing this coming weekend at Jennings GP in the CCS event. Villa, who had a broken pelvis and femur and was out of racing for eight months, now comes back to the United States to race again and be prepared for the 2013 season. Villa is now part of the Team Green Colombia and will try to race a Kawasaki ZX-10R in the CCS events in 2013. “It’s amazing to be back on the bike without pain and with normal movement. I tried to race in Colombia a month ago, but it was really painful and I never even touched my knee on the ground. Sean Prieto, from Prieto Performance, told me about a track day, so I went and from there we decided to race Jennings. It’s a shame that we didn’t race at least one AMA round, but it is what it is. Now my focus is to return to racing ASAP and try to get the my body and mind to speed. “I’m really happy racing again. It’s been a long, painful road and it’s been hell for me without racing, but finally, I’m back. I feel great on my bike, and I’m looking forward to race with my new Kawasaki ZX-10R. This has been an effort of Palmetto Motorsports Kawasaki and The team Green Colombia, so it’s amazing to start racing with this support. And of course my team Prieto Performance that never took away their support and friendship. I also need to thank my always amazing sponsors: TACAMA MOTUL, ADDICT BY BOSI, ARAI HELMETS, HEROIC APPAREL, MSF DESIGN, DUNLOP TIRES, DRIPPINWET AND AUTECO KAWASAKI, GMD COMPUTRACK” Villa will be racing with Prieto Performance in the 2013 CCS Championships.
