Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Rider Josh Herrin Injures Shoulder While Training And May Not Race At NOLA Cypress, CA October 1, 2012 Josh Herrin, rider of the #2 Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha YZF-R1, suffered an injury to his left shoulder while riding a flat tracker this past Saturday night. His condition is currently being evaluated, and it is yet to be determined if Josh will be able to race at the final round of the GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing season, which is this weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, LA. According to Keith McCarty, Motorsports Racing Division Manager for Yamaha. “Josh took a nasty spill while training on a flat track bike last Saturday night. He landed on his left shoulder and may have separated it. He’s going to consult with his doctor, so we’re not sure yet if he’ll be able to race this weekend. We’ll know more, probably by the middle of this week. Obviously, we’re hoping that he’ll be fit enough to ride.” Josh is currently third in the AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike points standings in this, his rookie season, in the class.
