Jason Pridmore To Coach Riders October 1 At The Mid-Ohio School

Two-time AMA Pro Racing Champ making his first PTR appearance as coach LEXINGTON, OHIO (September 27, 2012) Jason Pridmore, winner of the 2002 Formula Extreme and 1997 SuperSport titles, will be at The Mid-Ohio School in conjunction with the Ohio Air National Guard on Monday, October 1, to provide instruction to sportbike riders. In addition to participants from the Ohio Air National Guard, he is offering coaching to a limited number of sportbike riders from the public as well. This is a special collaborative event between The Mid-Ohio School’s Performance Track Riding Program and Pridmore’s STAR School to culminate the motorcycle track day season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. “I am really looking forward to getting back to Mid-Ohio to teach. It’s always been one of my favorite places and somewhere I had a lot of success at when I was racing. The weather looks like it’s going to be great, should be a fun day. I want to thank the staff at The Mid-Ohio School & Lt. Col. Bernie Willis for this opportunity,” said Pridmore. Registration for the day starts at 7 a.m. and riding sessions will commence at 9 a.m. The riders will be broken up into three groups by skill: novice, intermediate and advance and ride in alternating sessions throughout the day. Online registration is not available for this event. “Jason Pridmore had a tremendous career as a pro racer and has continued excelling on motorcycles as a coach and two-up rider,” said The Mid-Ohio School Chief Instructor Todd Snyder. “Both the Ohio Air National Guard and other riders that take advantage of his coaching will learn a lot from an outstanding racers whose won at Mid-Ohio, not to mention multiple AMA Pro Racing championships.” The Mid-Ohio School provides professional driving and riding instruction to drivers and motorcyclists of all skill levels. The school’s 16 automobile courses include Defensive Driving, High Performance and Racing programs. The motorcycle side features four Performance Track Riding formats. Students enjoy classroom sessions, skill drills, expert private instruction and lapping on the same track that challenges the world’s top racers. In 19 seasons, The Mid-Ohio School has 46,000 graduates, including 14,500 teenagers and 9,000 motorcycle riders.
