Jon Block Group Sports Collaborates With Vivonoetics, Inc. in Testing New Body Sensors for Optimizing Motorcycle Racing Rider Performance Jon Block Group Sports announced today that it is engaged in testing new physiological monitoring sensors in optimizing rider performance in motorcycle racing. Jon Block Group Sports sponsored rider Wyatt Farris will work with the team at Vivonoetics in testing the newest physiological sensors at upcoming races, racing practice, and during intensive coaching workshops. Farris will be using the state-of-the-art Equivital EQ-02 sensor platform, a wearable sensor platform which will continuously monitor heart rate, breathing, posture, movement and temperature. The EQ-02 system integrates sensors in a comfortable garment worn directly against the skin, under protective racing clothing that is able to simultaneously acquire ECG, respiration and tri-axial accelerometry data. Wyatt’s physiological data will be visualized, and analyzed, in Vivonoetics’ proprietary software VivoSense®, which is also used by researchers at USAF, US Army Research Laboratory, Harvard University, and Mayo Clinic. “Monitoring the physiology of elite athletes like Wyatt, using state-of-the-art technologies, enables us to push the limits of human performance, while simultaneously ensuring the health and well being of our team” stated Kurt Burgess, head of business development for The Jon Block Group.
