Yates to ride EvanSteelPerformance.com / Iron Horse BMW in AMA Pro SuperBike Aaron Yates will return to Superbike action at the Big Kahuna event in Homestead FL, on the S1000RR. Aaron is a 9-time AMA Superbike race winner, 5-time AMA National Champion, and has 47 AMA National victories to his credit. Yates recently rode as a wildcard entry at the MotoGP round in Indy, and is looking forward to going racing again. He tested the ESP team’s BMW at the end of August. The team tried various set-ups to determine what would suit Yates the best. In the end he chose Ohlins gas fork cartridges, and a JRi rear shock. It was a productive three days, and now the whole crew is looking forward to being back racing at the AMA level. Aaron Yates: “I went and met the ESP guys, and rode the BMW for the first time, and I really liked it. I think the S1000RR is a great bike, and a great package to go racing with, especially with the rule changes for electronics coming next year. The bike had a good feel to it, and I am really looking forward to being in the AMA paddock again. ” Evan Steel: “We are all pretty excited to have Aaron riding our bike, he is an incredible rider! It was a great experience for our team to go testing with him, and I can’t wait to go racing. I have to thank the people who really helped make this test happen, Dave at U.S.Mega-max.com, John at Iron Horse BMW, Josh at Speedcell, Tyler at XCEL Trackdays, and Roger at ASMA.” The entire EvanSteelPerformance.com BMW team would like to thank all of our awesome sponsors: Iron Horse Motorcycles, U.S.MegaMax.com, Intawishin Consulting Group, K&L Supply Company, Musselman Honda, Thermosman Suspension, Carrozzerria USA, Leo Vince, Dunlop, XCEL Trackdays, GPR, Speedcell, Ballistik Apparel, Driven, Ohlins, GB Racing, Sidi, Samco, Kurvey Girl, OTL Magazine, Mussleman Honda Circuit, Supernova Cycles, ASMA, Tucson Pool and Spa, Mid Town Bar and Grill, Hotbodies, Chicken Hawk, and War Paint.
