DENVER, Colo. (September 11, 2012) – Fans attending the Triumph Big Kahuna Nationals presented by Dunlop Tire and LeoVince at Miami and New Orleans will be kept up to speed throughout the weekend by full-time GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing announcer Barry Boone, Dano Legere and Danielle Teal. Boone and Legere will keep audiences entertained from the Homestead-Miami Speedway (September 21-23, 2012) and NOLA Motorsports Park (October 5-7, 2012) booths, while Teal will provide comprehensive trackside coverage and rider interviews from the pits. “The three-person announcing team was a huge success during the Big Kahuna Atlanta at Road Atlanta earlier this year and I look forward to the upcoming events with the crew,” Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 PowerSports. “Barry and Dano will make a great team up in the booth and with Danielle reporting from the pits, fans won’t miss a thing.” Barry Boone, who has and will continue to attend every round of GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing action in 2012 to keep fans up to date about the on-track action and off-track drama, is no stranger to the Big Kahuna. He was the lead announcer for Big Kahuna events at Virginia International Raceway for two consecutive years as well as the most recent Big Kahuna at Road Atlanta. Dano Legere looks after some of the biggest names in motorcycling with a roster of athletes from the Freestyle, Motocross/Supercross and Amateur National worlds. Legere is highly respected in the industry, having 8 years at Cycle News and 7 years at DVS Shoes, and his energetic style will provide a perfect contrast as the 2012 GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing season comes to a close. “I could not be more stoked to be a part of M1 and on the announcer crew for the Big Kahuna National,” Legere said. “In the past, I have done Meet the fans with Dano, Monster Cup and AMA Supercross and I am just pumped that M1 wants me to come be a part of these AWESOME Events. I can’t wait to get on the mic and talk to a lot of my friends that are in the road race world. So come say what’s up and I will see you at the races.” Danielle Teal was added to the Big Kahuna announcer team at Road Atlanta earlier this year and has also been a pivotal member of the AMA Pro Live online streaming video experience which launched earlier this year. Her charming style, quick wit and personal connection with the riders ensure that her reports from the pits will give fans up-to-the-minute insight that they’ve never had before. “I’m very much looking forward to working with the announcing staff at the next two events,” Teal said. “Providing fans with insider information about the events is a great joy of mine and I take a tremendous amount of pride in representing the Big Kahuna and AMA Pro brands. I love the sport and can’t wait to get back to the track.” Tickets for the Triumph Big Kahuna Nationals begin at just $20 and entertainment offerings are being added to the schedule by the day.
