Nürburgring: we are coming! Here we are at the 12th round of the WSBK Championship that it will be held on Nürburgring next weekend, this track represents a very amazing place for all the motorsports fans. Obviously, it isn’t the mythic Nordschleife, known also as “the Green Hell”, where important pages of the motor sport history are been written, but it is the new Nürburgring, the same track that, every two years, hosts the F1. The Liberty Racing Team returns hungry for results after reorganized its human, technical and logistical resorts, using for this purpose the weeks following the Silverstone round and choosing consciously, not having unfortunately pressing needs about the standings, not to take part in the Moscow GP. This decision did not concern only the will to finish off the 2012 season, but, with great foresight, has allowed the team management of throwing the concrete foundation for the 2013 planning. A pause for reflection and organization, weeks of intense work, inventory and overall control of technical equipment available, that lets the team to be more determinated for the Germany Gp, and ready to fight for the last three rounds of the season. On track to hold high the colors of the Effenbert team there will be: Kuba Smrz, third in Race 2 in Silverstone and author of the Superpole in Salt Lake City and Silverstone, the French Maxime Berger for a long time leader in race 1 during the Brno round and the returning full-time, Brett McCormick. The young Canadian having tested his physical condition at the beginning of August at Silverstone, after his long absence caused by bad injury at Assen and the long convalescence that followed, after a month of training with his Effenbert Motocross Bike is ready to come back and join the Sbk fray putting his seal to this 2012, waiting for 2013 which is shaping up to him as the year to take his revenge. The Liberty Team is handling the Germany round of the beginning of September with the clear intention to confirm to be the more competitive Ducati team and after the podium at Silverstone, the whole staff tenaciously pursue the aim of repeating and why not improve results obtained so far. The memory of the recent past on that track is another positive incentive for the Team. In 2011, in fact, a very wet Nürburgring edition hosted the Grand Prix of Germany Sbk, but the bad weather did not prevent the Liberty Racing team to do well, conquering an unforgettable double one-two with both its riders on the podium, which took the second and third place, just below the flood, demonstrating the tenacity that has always characterized the Liberty Racing Team. The Effenbert Liberty Racing pride is ready more than ever to restart its engines, making feel the roar of its Ducati in Germany, then moving to Portugal and finally to France where it will close the 2012 season throwing at the same time its eyes to the future, always under the sign of WSBK passion. About the track The new track was opened in 1984 with the F1 Gp has been subject to some changes over the years, especially in the beginning part and was built on the site of the Südschleife, which was almost totally demolished. The German track measuring 5,137 meters counts of 16 turns, 7 on the left and 9 on the right, and has in the initial part, renamed as the Mercedes Arena, the most spectacular zone for the public. It rises in the heart of the German forests of the north, where the weather is often unpredictable and in addition to frequent rains, the temperatures, usually low, certainly do not help the riders in what is the set-up job of their bikes.
