RPSRaceTeam.com is very pleased to announce that it is publishing a new suspension book on-line, has a newly updated website, and new sponsor for the team. After spending the last 6 months developing our e-strategy, sponsorship efforts, and media for the team and Danny Kelsey, we are very happy with the results of our efforts. Suspension Made Easy Marcus McBain is publishing “Suspension Made Easy”. This will be a “free for personal use” on-line book for racers, tuners, and enthusiasts to get a really unique and detailed introduction to how suspension components work and how to tune them. It provides a clear description of design, operation, and theory of the forks and shocks for motorcycles as well as tuning theory and solutions. Based on several articles already published AND a significant amount of new material, this book will provide the novice rider a great insight into the operation of suspension. It will also provide seasoned suspension builders new strategies to build and tune suspension components. McBain believes that the material has an opportunity to become a significant “freeware” article available to the public as there is nothing out there to this level of detail and thoroughness. It will be released publicly in 5 chapters over the next 6 months with “How a shock works” ready for viewing at www.rpsraceteam.com under “Technical Articles”. Updated Website The team’s website now comprises over 1000 pages of pictures, articles, and multimedia. With many archive images and newsletters dating back to the 80’s, many visitors are excited to see a picture of Colin Edwards hanging out in the pits with a flat top haircut and barely 18 years old. Additionally visitors have been able to search through old newsletters to see just who Tommy, Nicky, and Roger Lee Hayden battled on the racetrack before they became the stars we see today. Combined with current content and many of the old images and articles from Marcus McBain, www.rpsraceteam.com provides a full array of content. After looking at the analytics of the website and realizing that during the eight months of development that its technical articles had been accessed over 50,000 times, the team evaluated how to leverage this traffic and keep the content fresh and original. The team decided to “up the ante” and publish the “Suspension Made Easy” publication hosted on the site and with many site visitors thankful for the articles and offering money for some of the publications, it was obvious that one commodity the team needed to leverage were the visitors and traffic generated by the technical article section. Marcus McBain consequently introduced The Syndicate. It provides a great program for site supporters of RPSRaceTeam.com and Danny Kelsey to make small contributions for the benefit of team operations. Combined with the new content and the structure of the fund, we believe our current and new site supporters are going to be excited. Proceeds of the Syndicate not only go to the team to race, but we earmark 10% of the proceeds for the Roadracing World Action Fund (which we have a good history of supporting) and product will awarded back to participants of the Syndicate. Information about this program is available at www.rpsraceteam.com and visitors simply need to click on the “The Syndicate” menu option. New Sponsor Finally, we are very pleased to announce the addition of JRi shocks to the RPSRaceTeam.com family of sponsors. Danny Kelsey was so impressed with the performance of the JRi shock, he posted the fastest lap of the weekend during round 7 of the CMRA Sprint Championship Series. The team is looking forward to continuing the development of their bike with JRi. For more information about the team or items provided in the press release, please visit www.rpsraceteam.com.
