DENVER, Colo. (August 27, 2012) – M1 PowerSports is thrilled to announce that musical sensation Ottrina Bond has been signed to perform the National Anthem for September’s Triumph Big Kahuna Miami presented by Dunlop Tire and LeoVince. Bond, a motorcycle enthusiast with ties to the South Florida motorcycle scene, will also sing during the Friday Night Fan Party and at select times during the event weekend, scheduled for September 21-23, 2012 as GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing’s first return to Homestead-Miami Speedway since the 1996 season. “Ottrina has the voice of an angel and she will absolutely stun the crowd with her talent this fall,” said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 PowerSports. “To find someone with an amazing vocal talent and such enthusiasm for motorcycles is just amazing and we have to thank CCS’ Henry DeGouw for making the introduction.” Bond recently released “World On Fire,” the first single off her upcoming EP, and the Philadelphia, PA native is already set to fulfill what appears to be the prophetic words of the titled track as she ‘sets the World On Fire’ with noted comparable vocal nuances of power singers such as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and even Aretha Franklin. She was first introduced to motorcycle racing while working at a local motorcycle shop in Miami Beach, Fla. She quickly took to the thrill of two-wheeled competition and began performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at CCS events in South Florida after meeting DeGouw, Race Director of the CCS/Florida region. “We were a small motorcycle shop called Bay6 Motorcycle Workshop on Miami Beach and one of our guys, he had an exceptional talent for an amateur,” Bond said. “One of his CCS events in South Florida was my first experience with seeing motorcycle racing firsthand. It was something I had only seen on television before, but to be there, see it and hear the sound of the engines; the excitement of it all was a different kind of energy and vibe.” The young starlet is currently in Philadelphia putting the finishing touches on her upcoming self-titled EP, which should be released on iTunes in mid-September, just prior to her performances at the Triumph Big Kahuna Miami at Homestead-Miami Speedway. “This opportunity is amazing,” Bond continued. “I’m looking forward to heading back out to the races. It’s an honor to be able to sing the National Anthem right before the racing begins.” Tickets for the two remaining rounds of the 2012 Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown begin at just $20 and the events will mark the final rounds of the 2012 GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing season.
