AMERICAN ROADRACER BRAND TO LAUNCH AT LAGUNA SECA Monterey, CA — Racer Geoff May will launch the American Roadracer brand at Laguna Seca. American Roadracer will unveil its line of clothing for road racing enthusiasts at the U.S. Grand Prix, including t-shirts, long-sleeved t-shirts, hats, and hoodies. American Roadracer also plans to introduce a line of protective and performance gear at a later time. “I’ve had this idea for a while. I noticed other sports like surfing had companies that produced things for the enthusiasts and competitors, and I thought that our sport of motorcycle road racing in America should, too,” said May. “Motorcycles have always had a timeless cool factor in our culture, and racing is the ultimate in motorcycling. Up until now, no company has been dedicated to just the heart of American motorcycle road racing and what that entails. I hooked up with M-M Designs out of Texas, who does all the merchandising for my EBR team, and we made it happen.” May, an AMA Pro race winner, has chosen Jake Holden as the first rider to be sponsored by the American Roadracer brand. “Jake stands for everything the American Roadracer should. Like me, he came up slugging it out of a van as a privateer. He’s seen good times and tough times, and he always comes back because he’s a racer at heart. It’s what he does and who he is. Jake will race at Laguna Seca with Redline Motorsports on a CBR1000RR in the Superbike class, and he’s committed to doing the rest of the year. It’s easy for the fans to get behind a rider who’s giving it everything he’s got, and that’s why he was our choice as our first sponsored rider.” “I feel really fortunate to be linked up with the American Roadracer brand,” said Holden. “I think it’s a great idea with what they are doing, and I think it helps the fans identify with us. I also think it helps us racers with the general public, too, by having our name associated with some cool stuff. I’m excited and think it will get bigger and better.” American Roadracer will add other racers at future AMA Pro rounds. Fans attending the U.S. Grand Prix will get the first shot at the new gear. American Roadracer will have a booth in the vendor area adjacent to the EBR display. The brand will launch a website (americanroadracer.com) soon.
