New Track Record for The Ridge Motorsports Park!

WMRRA would like to congratulate visiting OMRRA racer Andy DiBrino, for setting a new official track record at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton Washington.

On lap 3 of 750 Superbike on July 15th, 2012, Andy put down a 1:40.000 on his EDR prepared 2009 Yamaha R6 eclipsing the old record of 1:40.609. Quite an achievement given it was his first race weekend at The Ridge.

The race pace was fast as eventual race winner Ryan “Chromie” Sutton was also under the previous record with a fast lap of 1:40.188. Unfortunately DiBrino was unable to finish due to a crash.

When asked about what it was like to have his first official track record, DiBrino responded “It was definitely good to know that something besides a DNF came from 750 Superbike.”

He added “It was great to come up and race The Ridge, WMRRA was very welcoming.”

On behalf of WMRRA and all of its members, congratulations Andy! We can’t wait to see you again in September.

P.S. Bring an endurance bike……
