Additional Information For The Inaugural WERA Event At NOLA This Coming Weekend. WERA Motorcycle Roadracing brings the show to the new NOLA Motorsports Park facility, located in Avondale, LA, June 29-July 1, 2012. This will be the first weekend of racing at the new venue! The weekend’s activities begin Friday with racer practice and 600 Superstock Expert Qualifying. Registration opens at 7:00 am, practice begins at 9:00 am, and 600 Superstock Expert qualifying starts at 4:40 pm. The qualifier is for the 600 Superstock Expert race on Sunday, July 1. Saturday’s schedule includes morning practice, and a full schedule of Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series Southeast Region sprint races in the afternoon. Sunday is the WERA/Michelin National Challenge Series round with a full day’s worth of exciting and competitive sprint races. The sprint races will be held on the brand new 2.75 mile North Track-Long Course. Gates open Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 5 pm, and we race rain or shine! A weekend ticket into the event is $30 for 3 days, $20 for 2 days, and $10 for Sunday only. Official WERA T-Shirts will be available. Electricity is limited, so be prepared. NOLA also has two restaurants on premises; Stanley At The Track overlooks the North Track-Long Course and is open from 11am-3pm.The Kart Cafe is located by the kart course is open from 8am-9pm.
