RIDER Insurance/Oxford Consulting Group XR1200 to be Crewed by Wounded Warrior Alumni at Mid-Ohio. Upper Arlington, Ohio – Oxford Consulting Group announced that it has joined with AMA Pro Racer Pete ‘Silo Pete’ Cline and Team Ohio Racing to grid up on a Harley Davidson XR1200 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the Buckeye SuperBike Weekend July 13-15. WERA racer and official Pete Cline, Team Ohio Racing’s owner and rider, have created a partnership with Westerville, Ohio-based Oxford Consulting Group. The agreement will see Pete fielding the #26 RIDER Insurance / Oxford Consulting Group / Wounded Warrior Project-crewed Harley Davidson XR1200 in the AMA Pro Racing Vance & Hines XR1200 Class at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this July. “Team Ohio Racing’s crew will be Wounded Warrior Project alumni from Ohio area, within 100 miles of the track” stated Cline. “These warriors will be active; changing wheels, fueling the RacerRuss Motorsports supplied XR1200, working the pit board and any other work needed by the team.” The warriors will be Ohio residents, selected by Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Regional Director, Alumni (East) Bob Laverick. Cline added “The primary goal is to have fun, show value to WWP mission, and honor the warriors while fielding a competitive motorcycle. We’re very excited to work with the WWP, and to my knowledge nothing like this has been done.” Leading the warrior crew will be Geoff Maloney, owner of GPtech. “Geoff brings a wealth of experience, recently fielding Moto2 entries over the past 2 years at Indianapolis to his newly announced MotoGP CRT team with Aaron Yates as the rider” stated Cline. Cline went on to add “When I sat down with Michelle Kerr, I could tell that she really wanted to have Oxford Consulting Group (OCG) involved with some aspect of Team Ohio Racing’s XR1200 program. Not only is Michelle a racing enthusiast, but she was extremely keen on supporting the WWP crew idea. Michelle wanted to know how we could show value to those warriors.
