With three weeks between the last round at Road America and this weekend’s AMA Pro Round 6 at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama, the Racing for a Wish Team and Signorelli were able to get a few things handled to further the team’s progress. It is very clear the next step is to get on the box and earn an AMA Pro Podium. Signorelli was able to wrench on the bikes and display them while stationed in Chicago for some time between rounds at Wild Fire Harley-Davidson. Also, Gerry had a chance to fly home for a few days and begin bringing his fitness levels back up after a hectic span of time on the road between racing and coaching for the California Superbike School in May and the early parts of June. This weekend’s race promises to be exciting. Fans are invited to come out and watch the big V-twins hustle around the roller coaster ride that is Barber Motorsports Park. The track offers great elevation changes, challenging turns, a beautifully landscaped facility, art and sculptures scattered around the property, and one of the best collections of breathtaking motorcycles on display at their coveted museum. Of course there will be the Fan Walk activities on Saturday at noon and Sunday at 11:30 just prior to the racing where fans will have the chance to see the machines up close and chat with the racers. The AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 race begins at 12:30pm on Sunday. Gerry Signorelli – “The team is thrilled to be heading to Barber Motorsports Park this weekend. We will go well there. It is one of my favorites tracks in the country and I want to give Kuryakyn and our sponsors a moment to shine with a podium spot! I was able to go home since the last round and train hard in the mountains of Colorado so I feel good. We also had the bikes on display at Wild Fire Harley-Davidson just outside of Chicago. Tim Farrell runs the place. He is an outstanding guy and a race enthusiast. I love having the chance to chat with him when possible. Go see him and his dealership if you find yourself in the area!” The team invites all fans to make it to the next round at Barber Motorsports Park on June 24th, or tune in on Speed2.com for race coverage. More information can be found at www.racingforawish.com or www.amaproracing.com. Racing for a Wish markets sponsors’ brands in the thrilling world of motorsports. Racing for a Wish is a motorcycle road racing program that donates to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado as it supports Gerry Signorelli’s development towards becoming an internationally competitive racer. The team is currently racing in the full AMA XR1200 Pro Series.
