SCOTLAND SET FOR MOTORPOINT BRITISH SUPERSPORT CONTENDERS The battle for the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship continues this weekend (22/23/24 June) as Mar-Train Yamaha’s Jack Kennedy prepares to defend his lead in the standings at Knockhill as the series reaches Scotland. There have been four winners so far this season and Kennedy is determined to maintain his advantage over rivals including former champion Glen Richards, Sam Warren and Ben Wilson after a sensational feature race at the previous round which saw six riders fighting for victory. Kennedy took the first double win of the season at Snetterton but Smiths (Gloucester) Racing Triumph’s Richards has finished on the podium in the past six races and has his sights set on closing the advantage this weekend. Seton Tuning Yamaha’s Warren lies third ahead of this weekend but he is only four points ahead of Ben Wilson; last year’s runner-up is still let to win a race this year but both Warren and Wilson were victorious in Fife last year and are targeting a repeat performance. Taylor Mackenzie will also be targeting his best result as he aims to impress the home fans. The son of three times BSB champion Niall lines up for Mar-Train Yamaha alongside Kennedy and is hoping that he can secure a solid points scoring finish at Knockhill. Motorpoint British Supersport Championship protected by Datatag standings after Snetterton: 1. Jack Kennedy (Mar-Train Yamaha) 146.5 2. Glen Richards (Smiths (Gloucester) Racing Triumph) 119 3.
