Chester Auto Repair Wins ASRA/Michelin Pro Series Team Challenge At VIR

Chester Auto Repair Takes Team Challenge Round 5 at VIR Alton, VA – Again weather in the 70’s met competitors for the final day of the Paul Farrell Memorial weekend here at Virginia International Raceway. Eric Helmbach took a solo ride to overall victory and GTO class win on the Chester Auto Repair BMW 1000 in the 65-lap two-hour time-limited event. Walt Sipp aboard the Thrashed Bike Racing Buell took the second step on the podium and Lloyd Bayley finished third on the LB Racing GSXR 1000. The top three were all solo-ridden GTO machines. In GTU Angry Peaches brought home the victory on a CBR600 with the #62 RNR Repsol Kawasaki placing second and a newcomer Faith on Wheels entry tying up the last step. And in GT Lights the ongoing championship battle between G-Baby and GMB Now Racing saw another episode unfold as the GMB Now boys took the win. G-Baby was second and Florida rider Kat Zimpel finished third. The sixth round of the 2012 Michelin Team Challenge is July 15th at New Jersey Motorsports Park when the class battles will continue.
